They finished the design of the primary cooling unit installation and opened up the space by building an open core. The open core’s function is to provide a path for the copper wires to the condensing unit outside the house. 

The mirrored wall is positioned on the rear end of the pillar, where the evaporation coils are hidden. The mirrored wall acts as the back of the wine closet, hiding the pillar from plain view and creating a convincing illusion that only mirrors surround the wine cellar.  

The spray foam serves as a mold-preventative barrier behind the mirror wall, and it is also installed over the entire surface of the wine cellar from top to bottom. Finally, plywood is placed at the top to cushion the weight from the wine bottles the cable racks are holding.
